Inspiration

Soccer data, while it's available it isn't easily accessed so as soccer fans, the goal of ensoccerpedia is so that everyone can access up to date information on soccer matches.

What it does

The program takes in user input to search for results of a soccer match with the specified parameters.

How we built it

We built our project using Python, mySQL, and Google Cloud.

Challenges we ran into

We initially did not know how to use mySQL and learning that was a small challenge, in addition, the database took around 4 hours to build.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating a large database that runs smoothly, quickly, and efficiently.

What we learned

We learned how to use mySQL and Google Cloud.

What's next for Ensoccerpedia

We are planning on adding more features. Among these new planned features include input verification to make the user experience better. As data science students and enthusiasts, the end goal is ultimately to create a reliable database that can be used to potentially build machine learning algorithms to predict soccer match results with a fair accuracy.
