Initially, we wanted to bring noise cancellation technology to all headphones. We, began researching about how software could essentially contribute to an artificial hardware
system. However, we soon realized that the feasibility of our idea was low due to divide between between hardware and software. To us, even though there were limitations ahead of us, we still pursued the path of artificial hardware because we felt it was necessary. So we turned from noise canceling to noise enhancing.
So we decided to use the apple ear pod's mic as a receiver to amplify the most important sounds, such as speech. At the same time we employed a delay in the feedback loop, which we believed would help nullify ambient background noise while amplifying higher frequency sounds, mainly speech. This way, people can fully immerse themselves in their music and take part in conversation at the same time.
