Inspiration

As I always put myself inside of climate-related perspective, it helps me more aware and be open-eyed to solve one of climate biggest problems among others; carbon emission. As I look towards my surrounding, their perspective towards taking public transportation or simply walking and ride a bike is still taboo. Especially in my country, Indonesia. I want to change these stereotypes with a simple innovation that helps people attracted to put a role in emission reduction action. Not only my country but this simple invention also can be applied to every country around the world.

What it does

This application intends to lure everyone to take simple action towards emission reduction. We aim to change the taboos inside pursuing public transportation as their daily vehicle. Using the attractive features, we intend to put back people inside their basic theory as a social being creature by walking, sharing vehicle (carpooling), or riding a bike together. As people will find comfort and excitement inside these actions and also giving very good impacts on the environment, this application will continuously change this world for the better.

How we built it

As a person that still has zero preparation and experience inside the coding world, We intend to take it from a small step by creating our application prototype in Figma to create the basic design.

Challenges we ran into

Finding the innovation is not that hard as we imagined, since we already have had this inspiration invention for a long time. But, brainstorming for the design and do research to making sure that our application chance is stable is fabulously hard. But, as we engage more and putting our dedication into this application prototype, we find the attractiveness in building applications as time goes on.

What we learned

The most meaningful thing we learned towards completing this challenge is that engaging yourself inside of climate action is actually easy. it depends on your awareness and how you find yourself is still needed to this world's existence.

What's next for ENPORT

After completing this event and gaining more knowledge about building applications or coding, we intend to take this project real and bring a real impact on the environment by building the application first. Our highest hope and expectation is we can collaborate with the government towards taking this action seriously.
