Inspiration

Eno Vietnam was inspired by the difficulties foreigners often face when buying and selling in Vietnam, including language barriers, unfamiliar platforms, and concerns about trust. We wanted to create a marketplace that feels simple, safe, and welcoming.

What It Does

Eno is a community marketplace where users can post listings, browse products and services, and connect directly with sellers.

Our main idea was:

[ \text{Better Marketplace} = \text{Simplicity} + \text{Trust} + \text{Community} ]

How We Built It

We built Eno using Next.js for the website and Supabase for authentication, database management, and backend services. We focused on a clean, mobile-friendly design that makes posting and browsing listings quick and easy.

Challenges We Faced

The main challenge was keeping the platform simple while supporting important features such as user accounts, image uploads, search, categories, locations, and secure database permissions.

We also had to design the platform for both Vietnamese and international users with different expectations and language needs.

What We Learned

We learned that building a marketplace is not only about technology. Users need to feel safe, understand the platform easily, and trust the people they interact with.

We also learned that starting with a focused community helps us understand real user needs and build more useful features.

What’s Next

Next, we plan to introduce bilingual support, user verification, direct messaging, improved search, location-based discovery, moderation tools, and mobile app support.
