Inspiration
With rising electricity costs and increasing demand for sustainable living, we noticed that most households lack clear insights into their energy usage. This inspired us to build a platform that makes energy data simple, actionable, and intelligent.
What it does
Enerlytics is a smart energy management platform that provides real-time monitoring, appliance-level insights, and AI-powered analytics. It helps users track consumption, detect anomalies, estimate solar ROI, and simulate energy usage using a digital twin.
How we built it
We built the frontend using modern UI frameworks to create an intuitive dashboard experience. The backend was developed using scalable APIs to process energy data, while a database stores user and consumption data. AI models were integrated for predictions, anomaly detection, and optimization insights.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was designing accurate simulations without real hardware data. We also faced difficulties in integrating AI models efficiently and ensuring smooth real-time updates across the platform.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully created a visually appealing and functional platform that combines analytics, AI, and simulation. Features like the solar ROI calculator and digital twin simulator add real-world value beyond basic dashboards.
What we learned
We gained experience in full-stack development, API integration, data visualization, and applying AI concepts to real-world problems. We also learned how to design user-centric interfaces for complex data.
What's next for ENERLYTICS
We plan to integrate IoT devices for real-time data collection, improve AI accuracy, add mobile app support, and expand features like automated energy optimization and smart home integration.
