Inspiration: Our inspiration stems from the urgent need to transition to sustainable energy sources. We're passionate about addressing climate change and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels. The idea of harnessing renewable energy and making it more predictable and efficient ignited our vision.

What it does: Our project, GreenEnergy, revolutionizes renewable energy production. It employs advanced data analytics and machine learning to predict solar and wind energy production up to 4 days in advance. This empowers producers to make informed decisions, reduce market risks, and streamline energy sales.

How we built it: We built our project by collecting and analyzing diverse data sources, including plant location, technology, equipment specs, historical weather, and energy data. Machine learning algorithms, such as LSTM, were used to identify patterns and correlations. A user-friendly Decision Support System was developed to provide real-time insights.

Challenges we ran into: Integrating various data sources and ensuring the accuracy of predictions posed significant challenges. We also had to optimize computational resources for large-scale data processing. Additionally, designing a user-friendly interface that caters to the energy industry's specific needs was a complex task.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: We're proud to have developed a sophisticated energy forecasting model that significantly reduces market risks and enhances energy sales.

What we learned: Throughout this project, we learned the immense potential of data analytics and machine learning in the renewable energy sector.

What's next for GreenEnergy: Our future goals include refining our forecasting model with real-time data integration.
