Inspiration

There is only one action the user can take on invoices is to check the invoice at the end of the month, and then to pay the bill through any payment channel. At this point, we want to change this old and outdated application, especially by taking advantage of the opportunities of the world that changes and transforms with the pandemic period. We would like to make our energy usage manageable and to save our energy, so that to save energy globally and to contribute to ecological balance.

What it does

A meter and pay system that allows users to automatically follow their energy usage at any time

How I built it

Our product is an integrated project that includes software and hardware. Generally speaking, there will be an electronic device with a diameter of 5 cm that can be physically attached to standard electricity meters. We will connect this device to the internet and transfer its software to the energy intelligence platform we created. To users using their mobile devices or desktop devices; We will allow you to monitor their consumption with a plain understandable interface. With the artificial intelligence we created, we will estimate the invoice expected to occur at the end of the month based on their current consumption. In this way, we will completely prevent users from experiencing invoice shock at the end of the month. We will continuously increase the awareness of the consumers with the notifications that we will send to their mobile devices at certain intervals. Apart from these, there is a “reading price” that we all know. We aim to reset the reading price in the medium and long term. We will reset the “reading price” item on the invoices every month thanks to the solution made by the company official and mechanized in our project.

What's next for FollowPay

While users follow their electricity usage with their desktop or mobile app, we will share in Turkey's total electricity production capacity and utilization information for the region. So that, it is among our future goals to make agreements with electricity distribution companies, create challenges individually and regionally and to provide extra discounts to those who provide low consumption.
