When you go to develop a new form of energy, many factors play a role: how cheap and plentiful is the current energy; how much potential is there for your type of energy; what land use and rights will you have to obtain; and so on.

While the SBA services provide a window into what programs and opportunities exist, there is the rest of the world to explore. Energy SBA provides the ability to search for everything the SBA offers by keyword, but you can also access the Bureau of Land Management map servers to research property rights, solar energy potential, and current status of oil and gas leases.

There are many other research sources that can be added from many different government agencies. Combining the ability to research with the ability to visit websites assocaited to the programs and potential grants will provide the best combined application for a small business in the energy sector.
