Inspiration
Seeing an empty city street lit up at night made us realize there was energy being wasted.
What it does
Our device adds new sensors to street lamps to ensure they only use as much energy as is needed. If nobody is around, they won't turn on, and if there is still daylight, they'll stay off.
How it work
By connecting sensors to the Arduino, we can control when it outputs power to the lights. This concept could be expanded to control higher powered lights easily, this is a proof of concept.
