Help small business save energy

INTRODUCTION

Energii is a product that helps business convert leads to customers and wins business while helping save energy consumption and bringing value to customer.

The goal of this product is to help sales and field representative win more business by acting fast. On analyzing the data from a well known company, it was discovered that if client was approached( for auditing his/her site for energy improvement) on the same day when he told about the energy saving program he was more likely to sign the contract, thereby, acting fast is very crucial for this business.

Inspiration

When I was in my last company, one of the wishes I often heard from sales people were, if they had some way to track field representative's location, so as soon as they get the lead for a prospective client who were interested in reducing there monthly energy bill, somehow field reps who are near to the location of prospective customer would get some notification and they can perform the audit at the earliest.

Target User

Sales Representatives and Field representatives

WorkFlow

  1. Sales Representative makes calls to small business owners after getting data from utilities
  2. They convince this lead for a free audit of the site and benefits of energy saving program. These benefits include:
    • Monthly reduction in energy bill
    • Free 6 months maintenance up to $500 if anything needs replacement
    • Discounted plans
  3. Once lead is interested, all field rep that are in 15-20 mile radius of site get notified
  4. One of the field rep uses app to update that he will be going to audit site
  5. Once site is audited and proposal is signed, field rep updates the same from his mobile device

Key Features

  1. Our product computes distance of customer site to geo-location of field rep and send notification of this lead to all rep who are in 15 mile radius of customer site
  2. Field Representative gets the notification and can update from his mobile device that he will be auditing the site and if contract is signed he can update the same from his device.
  3. Converts Field Representative geo-location from latitude and longitude to physical address (e.g. Lat :37.785135 Longitude: -122.464409 Physical Address:7298 Mission St, Daly City, CA 94014)

Installation

  1. Install Energii App from Android Marketplace
  2. Website http://energii.azurewebsites.net/ is used for updating lead information

Requirements

  1. Android device with GPS capability

Future Enhancements

  1. More use of Force.com to generate reports and dashboards for data visualization
  2. Use Force.com to store signed contact using Document Folder option
  3. Use WorkFlow and approvals to implement more validations
