Inspiration
I was lightly inspired by the game Vampire Survivors, as that is endless attack game as well.
What it does
It's a game! Play it and have fun!
How we built it
It was built in unity with heavy use of Deep Seek for the vast majority of the code.
Challenges we ran into
There really wasn't a whole lot that I struggled with, but the one big problem I encountered was getting the camera controls working properly, as I kept having the players whole body rotate up and down, which was causing the player to fall over, but I did get that fixed.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm proud of the personal growth I've noticed, as It took me up until the deadline for the last SpartaHack to get a game close to this state, whereas I ended up getting this game up and running fairly quickly, which I'm pretty proud of.
What I learned
I learned a lot of what it's like to currently use GenAI for large chunks of programming for a games project.
What's next for Endless Aiming
There may be some updates, there may not be. I planned on this project being very small in scope, so pretty much everything I wanted to implement was implemented. But some things that could be changed or added in the future would be:
- Increasing difficulty as time goes on
- Drops/Powerups from defeated enemies
- Points shop for permanent upgrades
- Varied enemy types
