Encouragement Game is similar to Whack-a-Mole but with an encouragement related twist. In Whack-a-Mole, there are 5 holes in the ground and you have to whack the moles that pop out of the holes to collect points. In my game, there will be 3 x 3 squares where cute animals will appear. They will carry signs with encouraging slogans such as "Treat everything like a learning opportunity" or "You'll never know unless you try" or "You can do it!". They'll appear for 3 seconds and players will try to click/collect the animal before they disappear. Each cute animal you click on is 10 points.

Bombs are images with text that make no sense such as phrases with words all mixed up. When the user clicks on them, they lose points. Bombs ensure the user is actually reading the quotes as they come up.

The game runs for 60 seconds and you want to try to beat your previous top score. My hope with the game is that it improves memory, concentration, mood and engagement.

Featured in the video is the Figma for the game. This is my first time creating a prototype using Figma. I have partially coded out the game but not enough to demo it yet. It is currently coded out in JavaScript (with HTML and CSS) with no added libraries. In the future, I want to try out coding the game using Phaser JavaScript Game Library.
