Encore turns taste into companionship. One in three older adults reports loneliness; Encore is a background agent that runs weekly and surfaces one "your weekend" card — but only when Qloo affinity clears the bar. A 60-second taste capture (favorite artists, films, cuisines, plus practical constraints like mobility, budget, and transport radius) becomes a Qloo taste profile. The agent then assembles a taste-matched live show, dinner near the venue, and the full itinerary. Nothing surfaces when nothing clears the bar: not an app you open, a ritual that finds you.

What judges should click: pick a persona (e.g. Margaret, 74 — loves jazz and old Hollywood, bad knees, $60 budget) and watch the agent assemble her Saturday. Then the before/after: a generic-LLM night-out plan vs. the Qloo-grounded plan, with affinity scores and tag URNs shown as evidence. Qloo is load-bearing — remove it and the matching is vibes.

Why the Qloo use is non-trivial: live Qloo Insights API v2 calls (hackathon.qloo.com, key server-side only) for music artists/places and dining tags with affinity and explainability, refreshed on demand; persona seed caches keep the demo deterministic. The "one card only when affinity clears the bar" behavior is driven by real affinity thresholds, not a script.
