Inspiration
Maria works with Enable Alliance, a 501c3 non-profit, dedicated to supporting the global e-NABLE Community of volunteers, schools, scout troops, FIRST Robotics teams and e-NABLE chapters worldwide who are using 3D printing technology to create positive change in the world! Her organization needs an immutable ledger to defend open source licenses, create access to data on gifting for the research, to allow for the discovery of design variations with version control for developers.
What it does
This is a registry for inventors to list open source projects, track the history from idea to build, and allow contributors to iterate on the project.
How I built it
We used Algorand blockchain for the backend and html for the front end.
Challenges I ran into
Two of our teammates could only participate in the first day.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Having a diverse and inclusive team.
What I learned
More about intellectual property rights and about 3D printing.
What's next for ENABL3D
User testing with the enable alliance and promoting to more projects.
