EmptySpace ,It started with a simple, frustrating question: where can a student sit down and study in peace? Many students struggle to find a good place to study. Home can be noisy or crowded, with no steady Wi-Fi or even a quiet table. Libraries close early or fill up fast. Cafés expect you to keep buying things, and a group project or exam-prep session quickly becomes awkward there. Meanwhile, all around us, rooms sit empty. A spare hall that is used only on weekends, a community room that is locked all afternoon, a verandah or rooftop no one uses on weekdays, a small office that is quiet after 2 PM.
Two problems exist side by side: students with nowhere to go, and owners with space going to waste. Nobody was connecting them.
For students, the problem is bigger than convenience. A good study space means:
A quiet room for exam prep, without the noise of home Reliable Wi-Fi and charging, which many students can’t count on Affordable hourly pricing, because ₹200 an hour is workable and a coworking membership is not A safe place, which matters most for women studying late or traveling alone A place for group study and projects, with a whiteboard and enough seats
So we built EmptySpace: don’t build more spaces, unlock the potential of existing ones. Students search by what they’re planning (study session, group study, exam preparation), how many people, budget per hour, location, and how long. Owners turn an idle room into income
