Inspiration

We were inspired by this event, an all female Hackathon. We wanted to create something that supported women empowerment.

What it does

Its a motivational app that has two buttons on the main screen. The first provides movitivational quotes with the theme of women empowerment. The second provides facts about the awesomeness of women.

How we built it

We used android studio which is a java based platform to create an android app that we then tested on an intel phone emulator.

Challenges we ran into

We had difficultly developing the code for the button functions to display a random image.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our design for lack of knowledge and our ability to learn android studios in a day.

What we learned

We learned the basics of android studio, emulators, and android apps.

What's next for EmpowHer

We could always add more quotes and facts and categories. We want to eventually add a sharing feature to the app.
