Inspiration
- EmpowerWork was inspired by the real-world challenges faced by Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
- A key inspiration came from our team member Pranam Srivastava, a visually impaired AI/ML developer with over 100 certifications and experience at Infosys.
- Pranam’s struggle to access inclusive employment opportunities highlighted the urgent need for an accessible and empowering platform.
- This led us to build a solution designed to make career enablement inclusive, accessible, and impactful.

- EmpowerWork is an AI-driven inclusive career enablement platform for individuals with disabilities.
- Offers personalized learning in audio, video, and text formats.
- Features a multilingual voice-enabled chatbot for career guidance.
- Includes accessible job boards with filters for accommodations.
- Provides resume parsing and job matching using AI.
- Offers gamified learning, certifications, dashboards, and employer portals.

How we built it
- Frontend developed using
React.js,Next.js,Tailwind CSS,ShadCN/UI, andLucide Icons. - Backend built with
Node.jsandExpress.js. - AI integration using
Google Gemini APIfor content generation and chatbot. - Resume analysis and job matching powered by
OpenAI. - Data and semantic storage managed with
FirebaseandChromaDB. - Media storage through
Google Cloud Storage. - Accessibility features include
Text-to-Speech,Speech-to-Text, AI Resume Parsing, and WCAG compliance.
