Inspiration How could we make retirement attainable and relevant to people who are not informed? By using visual aids and a simple user expereince
What it does Ingests Job offer doc and extracts relevant info, uses rule based decision making to determine best options for the user to reduce overall tax burden as well as maximize retirement funds. Then there are different graphed visuals such as contributing $50 more monthly versus $50 less and its effect on overall funds.
How I built it Flask Backend in client - server model. Main program starts with ingest and data extraction. Then the decision making process based on numbers and constraints provided determine what retirement age assets look like as well as the most relevant changes to be made to maximize withdrawal amount and reduce tax.
Challenges I ran into The team largely did not have much development experience in full stack and website building.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of Team was able to refine our idea a few times and even with our limited experience still build out components.
