We are a team representing the voice of persons with disability. Our team includes people with disability.

What it does

Demo video covers all these 4 ideas

  1. AI assistive tech to support the employment of persons with visual impairment in the industry. This enables companies (equal opportunity employers) to build inclusive teams and foster disability inclusion. Today, there is a lack of AI tools that enable employees with visual impairment to contribute at the workplace with laptops (google for work).
  2. AI assistive tech to enable persons with visual impairment to use public rest rooms . To create accessible public buildings with AI.
  3. AI enables persons with disability with hope. Users use Generative AI to dream of a bright future.
  4. Few shot learning to teach Multimodal Generative AI with concepts that later enable students with learning disability to learn concepts.

How we built it

This is an idea generated by a team who went out to find out what is needed by the community of people with disabilities. We listened to different individuals with disabilities across cities, age groups, and types of disabilities. We listened deeply by visiting people at their doors. We went to school for the blind, non-profits, and institutes working for the cause of disabilities, and interviewed many leaders with disabilities.

Challenges we ran into

Sometimes Google API returned error. We tried after few hours.
We also experimented with Video accessibility for persons with visual impairment, so 1M content length will be good

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Applying advances in AI to empower persons without hope. Use of AI for a good cause that makes both social and business sense. ( Accessibility is a fundamental human right as per the UN Convention of Rights of Persons with disability). (Many CEOs made disability inclusion pledges, but need tools to build inclusive work environment )
