Inspiration
We were moved by the stories of women who faced adversity with grace and strength, yet lacked access to resources and mentorship. We knew that by creating a platform that offers education, mentorship, and a sense of community, we could make a real difference in their lives.
What it does
EmpowerHer empowers women through education, mentorship, and community support. It offers courses, mentorship, forums, events, and resources for personal and professional growth. The platform aims to bridge gender gaps in opportunities and knowledge.
How we built it
EmpowerHer was built using React for the frontend, Node.js and Express.js for the backend, and MongoDB for the database. We implemented user authentication with JWT for security and integrated Socket.io for real-time communication. Overcoming challenges, like implementing real-time features, was a key achievement in this project. EmpowerHer is a testament to the power of technology for positive impact.

We faced challenges in integrating real-time communication, ensuring user authentication security, achieving responsive design, scaling for growth, incorporating feedback, and curating high-quality content. These obstacles were overcome through collaborative problem-solving and a commitment to excellence, resulting in a more robust and impactful EmpowerHer platform.
