✨ Inspiration

In a world where gender and social inequality still hinder countless individuals from reaching their potential, we wanted to create something that actively empowers women and marginalized communities.

Inspired by UN SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), we envisioned a platform that not only offers access to opportunities but also personal guidance.

EmpowerHer was born from the belief that technology — especially AI — can be a great equalizer, bridging systemic gaps in employment, education, and mentorship.

EmpowerHer is an AI-powered platform designed to uplift women and underserved groups by providing:

🎮 Gender inequality game highlighting real-world challenges faced by women

It functions as a digital bridge—connecting users with tools and people that help them grow.

🛠 How We Built It

Frontend: Built using React.js for a clean, responsive UI.
Backend: Developed with Node.js and Express to manage API calls and data flow.
AI Integration: Used OpenAI’s language models to power the conversational assistant.
Deployment: Hosted on Render for scalability and performance.
Dynamic Content: Jobs and resources are fetched and categorized to create a personalized experience.
