Inspiration
In today’s fast-changing world, even top students and skilled professionals are struggling to secure jobs — not due to lack of talent, but due to outdated education, widening tech gaps, and a lack of mentorship.
What it does
EmpowerEd is built to solve this. It’s a platform where students and professionals can learn practical skills through bite-sized courses and connect with real mentors to prepare for the job market with confidence.
🛠️ How We Built It
EmpowerEd was built entirely using BoltAI's prompt-based development system — from layout to logic — with no manual setup of tools like Vite or Webpack.
Tech Stack via BoltAI:
- ⚛️ React 18 + TypeScript
- 🎨 Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules
- 🧾 HTML5 (JSX structure)
- 🔄 React Router (navigation)
- ⚙️ Context API (for simulated auth/state)
- 🌐 Deployed on Netlify
🚧 Challenges We Ran Into
- Simulating backend-like flows without a real database
- Handling modal overlays and scroll issues across pages
- Making the UI professional and responsive for all screen sizes
- Role-switching logic between student and mentor views
🏆 Accomplishments That We're Proud Of
- Built a full role-based mentorship and learning platform from scratch
- Integrated realistic course flow with progress and certificates
- Achieved clean, mobile-friendly UI using prompt-based development
- Delivered a complete demo-ready project within the hackathon deadline
📚 What We Learned
- How to prototype and iterate fast using BoltAI prompts
- Building flexible UIs using modular React + Tailwind CSS
