Inspiration
We based this project off of our own experience with feeling the pressures of society upon on us and wanted to make a change for others as well as ourselves.
What it does
It gives women a chance to grow out of the degrading stages and realize their true potential with other women. By providing a space for self-identified women to vocalize their experiences and “be loud”, we empower them to draw positive attention and fight against those societal standards. Girls can feel validated, relate to, and learn from those hidden narratives. We highlight the historical and modern women figures that are often overlooked and highlight their work and their voices. In addition, this space is designed for learning and personal growth: we provide resources and events that encourage discussions and expressions. Together we fight the societal problem that holds women at high standard (high expectations of appearance, career, and behaviour), yet diminishes their voices and achievements.
How we built it
We built our website through repl.it. It showcases different pages (which we would add more to) that gives resources to showing off work to helping maintain a healthy mental state. We split the website into coding and designing.
