Inspiration
I have read about a project management application and website that organize projects, but what if there were a platform dedicated to managing employee profiles instead? EmployeeHub is the result of that idea, a prototype designed to showcase its core features and potential benefits for companies in storing their workforce data.
What it does
EmployeeHub is designed to help users in creating employee profiles and organizing them into different categories or departments. Employee Profiles have color code to identify which department they are placed.
How we built it
I primarily used Bolt to develop the website. Additionally, I integrated Supabase for the database and Netlify for deployment. I utilized a single prompt to generate the core features and UI design, while subsequent prompts were focused on resolving issues within the site.
Challenges we ran into
As I aimed to be considered in the One-Shot Competition, I was unable to add features such as a simple delete button for removing employee profiles or an account login system to save user data. Furthermore, I could not reposition the Bolt badge for the same reason.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm grateful to have the opportunity in making such project to submit in this Hackathon, especially when I have no coding experience. I'm happy to have created my prototype, which is perhaps the first I have shared to others.
What we learned
I learned the importance of not overlooking crucial features in my projects, as they significantly impact usability.
What's next for EmployeeHub
I may consider updating the website to enhance its functionality and simplicity for companies in managing and organizing sensitive information related to employee profiles. Its future will depend on the perceived value of the idea within its target market.
