Emotional AI Chatbot

An AI chatbot trained on previous conversations to make you feel better. Conveys emotion through voice and sentiment analysis.

It talks to you about your problems in a caring and emotional way. If you are upset about something it offers you words of encouragement to uplift your spirits.

Used Python Flask for the backend and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the front end. We used Google Gemini to make the chatbot and used eleven labs to allow the chatbot to talk. Used BERT for sentiment analysis.

We had an error where when someone made updates to a JSON file, it didn't update on the host machine running the code and we spent 1-2 hours figuring that out.

We were able to add audio and sentiment analysis to the chatbot.

We learned to use Google Gemini, BERT, and Eleven Labs and integrate them all together in a project to make one chatbot capable of speaking to the user, and learned to use and store API keys in a concealed way.

We could add an avatar that talks to the user with an animated face conveying emotion and other feelings.

I setup the sign up and login functionality. I also helped do some of the styling on the front end. I also worked with ethan to fix the JSON error which took a really long time to fix.
