Inspiration
We wanted to find an excuse to combine machine learning and emojis.
What it does
A coreML model named CNNEmotions to give a picture of a face emotion labels. The top label is sent to a heroku server running the vapor backend software. This takes the label and uses it to display a relevant emoji.
How we built it
Using Xcode, CoreML, and Vapor.
Challenges we ran into
Vapor was a bit tougher than we thought.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting it working at all.
What we learned
Swift can be a bit difficult to use for backend development.
What's next for Emoji Emotions
Hopefully a more accurate CoreML model.
