Inspiration
We were inspired by how much the world has recently been affected by natural disasters, especially the recent crisis when earthquakes affected Turkey where many lost their homes and lives.
What it does
Our website does not solve the crisis of earthquakes or natural disasters but it provides information to help people be more safe and prepared in case of a future emergency earthquake. It has links to resources and interactive ways for people to search up earthquake safety and emergency information from our website. Lastly it is for all audiences since we have a kids and adults section.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to build our website. We also used Glitch to host our website, which allowed us to collaborate more easily.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into included not being able to finish some of our ideas, including our search tool for earthquake information.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that despite still being beginners in web development, we were able to create a unique project in a short amount of time.
What we learned
Through making the project, we were able to learn new web development tools, including learning more about Javascript, an important tool that allows web interactivity.
What's next for Emergency Response
We will continue to finish the website and add more features and information.
