Inspiration
We noticed that people living alone often struggle to get help quickly in emergencies. We wanted to build something that could save lives by connecting them to hospitals automatically, even if they can’t make a call themselves.
What it does
Emergency Assist AI listens for voice commands or detects emergencies, finds the nearest available hospitals, analyzes traffic, and sends out SOS messages—all with minimal effort from the user.
How we built it
We used Python, Google’s Agent Development Kit, and APIs for maps, traffic, and messaging. The agent checks hospital availability, sends location info, and keeps emergency contacts updated.
Challenges we ran into
ntegrating multiple APIs smoothly Handling real-time hospital status Making the system reliable for critical moments
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Automated the whole emergency alert process Built a hands-free, user-friendly agent Achieved quick response times in our tests
What we learned
Real-time data integration is tough but rewarding Accessibility and simplicity are key for emergency tech Collaboration makes complex ideas possible
What's next for Emergency Assistant AI
Add more languages Improve hospital availability checks Integrate with more wearable devices
