Inspiration

Self-care is important to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself as it produces positive feelings and boosts your confidence and self-esteem. Also, self-care is necessary to remind yourself and others that you and your needs are important too. Keeping this in mind, Embolden came to the action!

What it does

It is a self-care activity generator—one that is fast, flexible, and efficient.

How we built it

We built Embolden using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Figma.

Challenges we ran into

Since we used jQuery for the first time, we had many errors to tackle.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are really proud of our purpose, our team, and our design. Also, completing the project before the deadline.

What we learned

Our unique feature is the activity generator, and we learned about how to extract user input values on to our script.js and use the values to randomly output an activity tailored to the user.

What's next for Embolden

The self-care day tracker would keep track of all the days the user practiced self-care and remind them to practice self-care once in a while. We're also looking to expand toward user input and community building, where users can input their favorite self-care activities to add to the array of self-care activities!
