Ember, a young flicker of light, wants to collect candelabra as she advances through a series of obstacles. She encounters pools that extinguish her flame, spikes that puncture her spirit, and falling platforms that disappoint her. We wanted to develop this game to explore the concept of two intertwined characters who need to work together to continue advancing. As such we decided to create a small candle that can be thrown higher than Ember can jump and can fit in tighter spaces. This allowed for many challenging situations that the user has to navigate.
Our target users are aspiring pyromaniacs, and college students who are trying to avoid midterms, finals, and problem sets. We hope that this will be a fun game to play in users' free time.
We are most proud of creating our own animations and music, and having a character that can interact with objects around it.
