Applying ACCORD Standards to Pega Application
The usecase we took to demonstrate the use of the ACCORD data model and XML Standards is Enrollment Case Type for a Life Insurance Policy
Generating custom tags and XML structure as per ACCORD standard in Pega is the challenge we faced and which we have accomplished and are proud of that. This is the learning from the application we built for hackathon, Along with this we have used latest controls and UI features through out the flow like showing up the entities on screen pictorially, generating the policy amount on click of tab alike UI control based on the installment frequency tab that user clicks on. These are the take aways from this implementation done.
We have depicted a sample data model comprising three entities under Life Insurance domain which are Person,Phone and Address. These can be extended to many more entities in a full fledged Pega Insurance or P & C domain application and can demonstrate the efficacy of the ACCORD data model standards.
