About the Project
Each year, over 400,000 Vietnamese students aspire to study abroad—but the path is often unclear, expensive, and inefficient. Traditional counseling services can cost $5,000–$15,000, yet many students still apply blindly, without a clear understanding of their chances or best-fit schools. This project was built to change that.
We created an AI Agent Swarm for Study Abroad—a system where six specialized AI agents collaborate in real time to guide each student through the entire journey. Instead of generic advice, students receive personalized, data-driven recommendations tailored to their academic profile, goals, and financial situation.
How It Works
The platform orchestrates multiple AI agents, each with a specific role:
- Scout Agents search across the US, UK, Asia, and Europe in parallel, evaluating and scoring 100+ universities.
- A Gap Analyzer compares a student’s current profile against target schools using an AI-powered radar, identifying strengths and weaknesses.
- A Strategy Agent provides school-specific advice, showing exactly what to improve for each application.
- A Path Planner builds a month-by-month roadmap, from SAT preparation to final submission deadlines.
- A conversational AI Tutor (powered by GPT-5.1) allows students to ask anything, with full context of their profile and progress.
The key differentiator is real-time collaboration between agents—scouts hand off insights to the gap analyzer, which feeds into the planner. Students can see the reasoning process unfold, making the experience transparent, interactive, and actionable.
What’s Next
We aim to expand beyond matching into a fully automated study-abroad co-pilot:
- Integrating scholarship optimization engines to maximize funding chances
- Adding document generation (essays, personal statements, CVs) tailored to each school
- Connecting students with mentors and alumni networks
- Continuously learning from outcomes to improve matching accuracy over time
Our vision is simple: make high-quality, personalized study-abroad guidance accessible to every Vietnamese student, not just those who can afford it.
