🧠Inspiration
With the increasing number of email scams and phishing attacks, I wanted to build something simple and accessible that could help people—especially those without technical knowledge—stay safe online. I was inspired by apps like Truecaller but focused on email safety instead of phone numbers.
đź’ˇ What It Does
EmailTrust is an AI-powered email safety checker. It allows users to input:
- The sender’s email address
- The email message content
The app then:
- Checks the domain (like gmail.com or freemoney.biz) for trust level
- Scans the message content for dangerous or suspicious phrases
- Returns a result: ✅ Safe or ⚠️ Suspicious
- Provides simple safety tips for email protection
It’s built using Bolt.new, which made it possible to create this prototype without traditional coding.
🛠️ How I Built It
I used the Bolt.new no-code platform:
- Used text input fields to receive user email and message
- Built a smart AI prompt using logic for content + domain analysis
- Added clear output blocks and safety instructions
Everything was built by writing prompts — no code needed.
🚧 Challenges I Faced
- Bolt’s AI isn’t always accurate, so I had to carefully design the prompt
- It sometimes trusts safe-looking domains even when content is dangerous
- Limited customization in no-code UI design
📚 What I Learned
- How to design and test a full product using AI without code
- How to simulate cybersecurity logic in a limited AI tool
- How to write strong prompts and test UX for beginners
🔮 What’s Next
- I plan to rebuild EmailTrust using Flutter and Firebase
- I want to connect it to real-time spam-check APIs
- I’ll continue improving the AI logic and release the app for public use
- I also plan to add support for multiple languages such as Arabic, French, and Spanish
- We aim to introduce both payment options and a free trial period for users
