Inspiration

I was inspired by a challenge posed by swivile to help prevente end users from getting scammed

What it does

scans emails for links uses URL checkers to verify the links then if anything malicious is found it informs the end user

How we built it

this was built with the help of AI for coding

Challenges we ran into

In the orriginal version i used a very sensitive URL checker that said almost every email was suspicious so I had to piviot away from that and I decided to implement multiple more specilized URL checkers.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

IT WORKS!!!!

What we learned

I learned a good bit about how to use api's and authentication tokens during the creation process.

What's next for Email Security Scanner

furthur upgrades would include putting it on a cloud server so that it's always running. adding more high quality URL checkers so that we can catch more scams before they happen.
