Eluvo breaks down language barriers. It lets people who share no language scan a QR code and talk instantly, no accounts or setup. Each speaks naturally. It translates the conversation with context.

Billions of people are separated not by distance, but by language.

Even today, in 2026, language barriers still determine who people can ask for help, learn from, work with, trade with, and build relationships with.

Existing translation tools still require people to copy messages, choose languages, switch between applications, and do isolated translations without context.

The people who are affected by this barrier the most, often have the least technical knowledge and lack access to the best tools.

Eluvo makes language transparent.

Talk in seconds

When two people meet and do not share a language:

  1. One person taps Start a conversation.
  2. Eluvo displays a QR code.
  3. The other person scans it and joins immediately.
  4. Both communicate naturally in their own language.

There is no account to create, no contact information to exchange, and no configuration.

Eluvo reads the guest’s browser-language preferences, selects the best match automatically, and makes it easy to switch to any other language.

Translation that follows the conversation

Eluvo translates conversations, not isolated sentences.

It uses earlier messages to understand references, terminology, and words whose intended meaning depends on context. Original messages remain available, and participants can inspect other stored translations whenever needed.

For example, in German, “Mutter” can mean either “mother” or the nut on a bolt. In a repair conversation, Eluvo uses the preceding messages to understand that:

Die Mutter fehlt.

means:

The nut is missing.

not “The mother is missing.”

Text first, with optional speech

Participants can type normally. Where the browser and device support it, they can also dictate messages and have translated replies read aloud.

Speech requires no technical setup. When a capability is unavailable, Eluvo explains why in the participant’s own language and keeps the conversation fully usable through text.

Instant and persistent conversations

Instant conversations are private, temporary, and designed for people meeting face to face.

For ongoing communication, users can create an account and participate in persistent public or private channels.

Eluvo can help:

  • Eluvo was developed with Codex using GPT-5.6.

  • Codex was used to go from product requirements and vision, to a fully deployed and useable product, with a secure 1 command installation script for docker deployment.

  • The product vision was split up into different /goals, that were executed by codex using gpt-5.6 sol max.

  • After each goal a manual verification and steering was done, before moving on to the next goal.

  • Codex created github issues, pull request, github actions to do automated tests and ensure quality. The impeccable skill was used to ensure the design was accessible.

GPT-5.6 powers context-aware multi-language translation and on-demand localization while preserving original messages as the canonical conversation record.
