## Inspiration We have noticed that many people struggle with their speeches and need additional feedback. We, ourselves, had the same issues. So we decided to create an app, Eloquence, that will help with this issue.
What it does
What Eloquence does is measure the volume, the pace, and the intonation of the uploaded speech and give feedback and tips based on the measures. Eloquence also offers the opportunity for its members to provide additional feedback on the uploaded speech.
How we built it
We distributed the work between our group members. Everyone did their parts, and we combined everything in the end.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many challenges but the most significant ones were the time zone and the language. It was hard for us to come to an agreement with time because we live in different parts of the world. It was also hard sometimes to express our thoughts because of the language barrier.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We became a team during a short period of time and were able to work with each other successfully despite the challenges. Besides our growth as a team, we also grew as individuals and improved our skills of team building, communication, and gained professional knowledge.
What we learned
We gained professional knowledge and were able to improve our skills based on the experience and advice of each other. We gained experience in coding and design, learned how to work with different apps that we haven’t used before, and needed to do additional research to make sure that the designs we made were correct, and the code does not have any bugs. We also used the material and information provided during the workshops when forming our project.
What's next for Eloquence
We expect our community to get bigger and we will have that section in the app. Also, our app will get better and will be able to give better feedback, and our vision is that Eloquence will help people to overcome their fear of public speaking, and will improve their public speaking skills.
