What it does

ELON combines live-action performances with AI-enhanced sequences to tell a grounded yet visionary portrait of Elon’s journey—balancing reality with moments of cinematic speculation.

How we built it

The film was shot predominantly in person (90%), using real actors, locations, lighting, and production design. We incorporated AI tools such as Luma and Gemini for specific moments—like rockets, futuristic scenes, and visual transitions that would otherwise require heavy VFX.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating AI shots seamlessly with live footage, maintaining visual consistency, and directing an AI-augmented workflow while preserving emotional authenticity required careful timing, color control, and iteration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully fused live-action storytelling with selective AI VFX, creating a cohesive cinematic look while drastically reducing cost and turnaround time. The film demonstrates how AI can enhance—not replace—traditional filmmaking.

What we learned

AI is most powerful when used with intention. It accelerates worldbuilding and complex visuals, but the emotional core still comes from human performances, real cinematography, and grounded direction.

What's next for ELON

We plan to complete a polished festival-ready cut, refine AI-enhanced scenes, and continue developing Bitz Films’ hybrid production pipeline that blends real filmmaking with AI-driven VFX for future projects.
