Ellie

Inspiration

I wanted to create a playful satire about how humans call things universal while keeping them exclusive. The idea of Ellie, a purple alien genuinely believing she can apply for Miss Universe felt both funny and meaningful.

What I learned

I learned how character design, prompt engineering, and storytelling blend together in AI animation. I also learned how to maintain visual consistency for the same character across different shots and moods.

How I built it

I used Seedream 4.0, Nano Banana, and Veo 3.1 to generate the visuals and animations. For dialogues and voicoever, I used ElevenLabs.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge was keeping Ellie consistent across every shot. Her face, proportions, colors, and style had to match perfectly even when the environment changed. Finding the right balance between satire, emotion, and animation quality was also a learning experience.
