Inspiration
the frustration of managing eBay listings through a clunky web UI while trying to sell trading cards and wanting a dedicated physical control surface for eBay workflows so common actions are one button press away
What it does
A plugin for the Logitech MX Creative Console that turns it into a dedicated eBay selling station. Each key maps to a quick action, navigate to your Seller Hub, jump to active listings, open the sell-an-item page, check orders, view your watchlist, and more. One tap on a physical button instead of clicking through menus. The keys display labeled icons so you always know what each one does.
How we built it
C# with the Logi Actions SDK, targeting the MX Creative Console hardware. Built a shared core library for the eBay action catalog and URL execution, then wired it into the SDK's dynamic command system so each key registers as a configurable action in Logi Options+.
Challenges we ran into
Getting the plugin to properly register and display on the hardware through Logi Options+ took some figuring out. Mapping out which eBay workflows would benefit most from physical shortcuts required a lot of iteration on the action layout.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting a fully working hardware plugin that integrates natively with Logi Options+ and maps 9 eBay workflows to physical LCD keys. The whole thing feels like a real product. You press a button and you're instantly where you need to be on eBay.
What we learned
How to build plugins for the Logi Actions SDK, and how to think about physical UI design choosing which 9 actions deserve a dedicated key when screen space is limited
What's next for Elist
More actions and customizable key layouts. Really any workflow shortcut that makes selling on eBay less painful 😁
