Inspiration

After watching the entirety of the both The Boys and Gen V, I decided to take the time to not only create and design my own original character who has superpowers based on the abilities of a few characters that exists within The Boys/Gen V cinematic universe alongside fictional characters that exist in other literary works (such as the X-men).

What it does

This project is meant to act as a case file listing out all the essential information of my original character, Aiden, who if cannon, would attend Godolkin University alongside the main characters in the series Gen V.

How I built it

I used the online HTML editor from Programiz in order to write, edit, and see the output of my code alongside a code space in FreeCodeCamp used to complete the Tribute Page project required to get the Responsive Web Design Certificate.

Challenges I ran into

While making this project, I ran into the issue of the two images of my character on the web page both as an adult attending God U and as a teenager failing to load or display on the page. In order to fix this issue, I took it upon myself to create a Tumblr account. From there, I posted both the images of my character displayed in this project publicly on my newly created Tumblr account and copied and pasted the images from there into the HTML of my web page so they could be displayed.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I managed to not only create an aesthetically pleasing and functional web page without the use of JavaScript, but also figure out ways to overcome the issues I faced while making this project without giving up.

What I learned

How to use color theory in order to make web pages aesthetically pleasing by balancing light and dark colors together to compliment not only one another, but also the color palette of the images displayed on the web page.

What's next for this project?

Going forward, I could either create more original characters that exist within The Boys/Gen V cinematic universe or I could expand upon my already existing character, Aiden's, information. Particularly, either his backstory or events that have occurred in his life at or after God U.
