Inspiration
Speaking with our founder, engineer, and manager friends they've expressed how difficult it is to gain signals from their remote software engineers. When everyone is in the office, it's easy to establish culture, get assistance, and discern employee satisfaction and stress; however, this is currently impossible in a remote world.
What it does
Our MVP integrates with Slack and Google Calendar to identify employee focus times to create a gradient view of that represents when the engineer is focusing and busy versus when they are free. Using deep learning we can predict average response time at a given hour, employee sentiment, and reschedule meetings to the most convenient time for all parties involved.
How we built it
The frontend is React+Typescript and we use Hasura GraphQL for the database and backend. Authentication is managed through AWS Cognito.
Challenges we ran into
Talking to customers and users to determine exactly what to build and automating the process so engineers and managers do not have to provide input.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Talking to users, building the MVP in 3 days, and getting our first users.
What we learned
The problem exists and teams are looking for a solution
What's next for Eliminating Burnout
Talk to more users and release a beta
