Inspiration

it is the challenges we face regularly for choosing out the best things , we spent lot of time thinking and wasting on it. to solve it , i came up with this idea , ELIGO-which makes the best choose according to our requirements.

What it does

ELIGO is an AI-powered shopping assistant designed to simplify online shopping by acting as a personal shopping advisor rather than just a search engine. It helps users discover the right products, compare options, understand recommendations, and make confident buying decisions—all through a natural conversation.

How we built it

completely on AI and few normal tool AI Chat Interface – Interactive shopping assistant with a custom chat experience. Persistent Memory – Stores user preferences across sessions. Personalized AI – Loads past preferences for tailored recommendations. GPT-5 Agent – Powered by LangChain and GPT-5 through n8n. Session Context – Maintains conversation history for better responses. Auto Preference Saving – AI automatically remembers user choices. Structured Responses – Delivers clear, consistent, and easy-to-read recommendations.

Challenges we ran into

Persistent User Memory: Built a custom system to remember user preferences across chat sessions. Dynamic Personalization: Loaded previous preferences automatically for a personalized AI experience. Smart Preference Saving: Enabled the AI to identify and store user preferences without manual input. Live Product Data: Faced API limitations, so real-time product prices and availability couldn't be integrated. Consistent AI Responses: Optimized prompts to generate clear, structured, and reliable recommendations. Time Constraints: Prioritized core features and debugging to deliver a functional MVP within the project timeline.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a complete AI shopping assistant during the hackathon. Implemented persistent memory for personalized user experiences. Automated preference learning and intelligent recommendations. Created a scalable visual workflow using n8n and GPT-5. Delivered clear product comparisons and AI-powered buying guidance.

What we learned

Prompt engineering is key to creating a reliable and helpful AI experience. Building persistent memory is essential for personalized, stateful AI interactions. AI agents require precise instructions to use tools and make accurate decisions. n8n enabled rapid development with visual workflows, making debugging and iteration much faster.

What's next for Eligo-i choose

Live Product Search: Integrate real-time product search APIs to provide up-to-date prices, availability, offers, and stock information from multiple e-commerce platforms. Multi-User Accounts: Introduce secure user authentication so shopping preferences, history, and saved recommendations are synchronized across different devices. Price Tracking & Alerts: Allow users to track products and receive instant notifications whenever prices drop or special discounts become available. Voice-Based Shopping: Enable voice input so users can describe their requirements naturally and receive AI-powered recommendations without typing. Retailer & Affiliate Integration: Provide direct "Buy Now" links to trusted online retailers, making it easier for users to purchase recommended products while enabling future affiliate partnerships. Expanded Product Categories: Extend ELIGO beyond electronics to support fashion, home appliances, groceries, beauty products, and other everyday shopping categories, making it a complete AI shopping companion.
