The demands of modern life have created a growing recognition of the need to focus on mental and physical well-being to actively work towards maintaining a positive and resilient mindset.
Our Web app allows users to create pre-defined routines ("Workouts") so they can use the pre-defined exercises for a specific day. Then they can also go to the calendar view which shows the days they worked out on what they they completed.
We built this app using Vite, React, Typescript, and Supabase. The reason for this was, that two of our members are experienced in Web design, and this way the web app is accessible to anyone with internet connection. The reason we used Vite, was due to the fast load times, and the reason we used Supabase was because it is nosql relational database, and we thought it was a better alternative to firebase, as that is a document-key database. We also used Material UI which was the UI library we used to easily be able to create really neat and minimalistic looking components like the modal, drawer.
We ran into a couple of challenges, from styling problems to our Calendar component not working properly. Our Calendar is still kind of wonky, due to us having problems with states and not having enough time to properly fix the problem. We fixed most of our styling problems by properly reading the Mui docs as well. We also had some merge conflicts
Being able successfully collaborate together, and create an app we are proud in the given time of the hackathon.
We Learned that we need to better our github commits and pulls, as we ran into problems where we would code a bunch and run into problems when merging.
We will probably work on developing the app more and make it into a pwa, also we would add extra functionality, for motivational quotes, examples of workouts and maybe some integration with AI.
