Inspiration

Our project, Elderly-Technology Symbiotic Home, was inspired by the need to address the limitations of current smart home technology in catering to the safety and well-being of elderly individuals.

What it does and How we built it

Leveraging Google's Gemini AI, our system focuses on predicting behaviors, healthcare, prevention, and assisted living. By integrating Gemini with smart home devices like cameras and various small equipment sponsored by e2live, we enable functions such as predicting sleep patterns, detecting falls, facilitating home exercises, and locating personal belongings.

Challenges

Inclusive of ensuring AI accuracy and device integration, prioritizing user privacy, and the lack of a centralized server to collect camera data from various users' homes.

We're proud to have created a comprehensive solution that enhances elderly care and quality of life.

Through this project, we've learned about the capabilities and limitations of AI in real-world applications, as well as the importance of user-centered design and ethical considerations.

What's next

Looking ahead, we plan to refine AI algorithms, expand device compatibility, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to further improve the Elderly-Technology Symbiotic Home.
