Inspiration
Elderly people often need help remembering medicines, appointments, emergency contacts, and daily tasks. We wanted to create a simple tool that makes everyday technology easier and safer for them.
What we built
ElderEase is a user-friendly assistant designed for elderly users. It provides medicine reminders, appointment reminders, quick access to family and emergency contacts, location sharing, and a simple daily check-in feature.
How we built it
We focused on a clean interface with large buttons, readable text, simple navigation, and minimal steps. The project was designed to be accessible even for people who are not comfortable with modern technology.
Challenges
One of our biggest challenges was keeping the app simple while still providing useful features. We learned that accessibility is not just about adding features—it is about making every feature easy to understand and use.
What we learned
Through this project, we learned more about user-focused design, accessibility, and building technology around real-world problems. ElderEase showed us how a simple idea can potentially make everyday life easier for others.
