Inspiration

• The aging population crisis inspired me. • Seniors struggle with medication management while families worry for afar . • My grandmothers medication mixup and my family's daily anxiety drove me to create a solution that bridges the technology gap for seniors while giving families peace of mind

What it does

• ElderConnect is a comprehensive care coordination with 3 dashboards ;Senior(large button reminders,emergency alerts, mood tracking ), Family( real -time health monitoring medication adherence charts)and caregiver(task management , care coordination). • Features include AI health insights, emergency response with GPS and offline functionality for critical features

How we built it

• I used bolt.new to create the app. • I gave prompts which I took from various platforms to build the interface first then I gradually added other functionalities including adding pictures and notifications. • Implemetd senior friendly design with high contrast colours,large fonts and touch friendly buttons • Added real- time family notification and AI powered health trend analysis .

Challenges we ran into

• Biggest challenge was balancing sophisticated functionality with senior – friendly simplicity . • Creating truly accessible voice commands for elderly users required multiple iterations. • Implementing reliable offline emergency alerts while maintaining real- time Family notifications was technically complex. • Designing for cognitive accessibility (memory issues, slower processing) while keeping features comprehensive proved challenging.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• This is my first-ever app. • Created a fully functional multi-user platform in bolt.new with real- time coordination between 3 user types. • Did it as a complete beginner and non techy person not knowing coding at all. • Completed under Hackathon pressure.

What we learned

• No code/low- code tools are powerful- bolt.new proved that one can build real app without traditional coding . • Prompt engineering is a skill- learning to communicate effectively with AI tools is valuable. • Large fonts , high contracts and simple navigation aren’t just nice to -have. • Build basic structure first , then add features incrementally .

What's next for ElderConnect

• I want to develop the app in different languages if possible. • Developing international expansion. • Incorporating advanced AI for personalized care recommendations. • Developing partnerships with insurance companies and senior living communities .
