Inspiration: We wanted to provide a medical service for the seniors and elderly.
What it does: Elder.Care helps elderly find a relative or a professional caregivers, create a caregiver team, and enable them to manage their medical records.
How we built it: We started with brainstorming on Figjam, created personas, journey map, user flow, aand assumptions and questions. We did Crazy 8 for ideating. We created wireframes and piloted our paper prototype on an elder. Based on our findings, we started hi-fi prototyping on Figma.
Challenges we ran into: We are detailed-oriented. We could have incorporated more user research. However, due to limited time, our research was limited.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: Our final protoype works as expected and we are happy with the website so far.
What we learned: We enjoyed the team collaboration. We learned the challenges faced by elders and aimed to create a website for their needs such as bigger font size, colors, clickable buttons, etc. To design a website experience for the elders without giving them a cognitive overload.
What's next for Elder.Care: We like to proceed with processing and maintaining medical and prescription records and creating history for the user and the care giver to access on our website.
