Inspiration
As technology continues to become part of everyday life, older adults may face challenges in managing daily activities and accessing support. We wanted to explore how technology could make their lives easier, safer, and more comfortable. This inspired us to develop Elder Care Companion, a project focused on making elder care more accessible and convenient.
What It Does
Elder Care Companion aims to support older adults through a simple, user-friendly digital experience. Our goal is to make everyday care easier for elderly users and their families while keeping accessibility, convenience, and independence at the center of the design.
How We Built It
We worked as a team to plan the project, design its interface, and develop its functionality. We focused on creating an understandable and accessible experience for users, keeping the needs of older adults in mind throughout the development process.
Challenges We Faced
One of our main challenges was thinking about how to make technology simple and comfortable for elderly users. We also had to coordinate our work as a team, integrate different parts of the project, and improve the overall user experience.
What We Learned
Building Elder Care Companion helped us understand the importance of user-centered design, teamwork, problem-solving, and developing technology around real-world needs. The project encouraged us to think beyond coding and consider how software can make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
What's Next
We hope to continue improving Elder Care Companion by refining its accessibility, expanding its capabilities, and exploring ways to make digital elder care more helpful and reliable.
