Inspiration
I wanted to make a transparent system where users could monitor the electricity they use, also they can opt for renewable electricity sources for their electricity so that they don't need to rely on non-renewable resources
What it does
It provides the user with a plethora of options from electricity meter customization to even the source of electricity, which is either non-renewable type or rental of solar panels for electricity, and even a smart meter option to control the usage of their electricity consumption. Finally, it will generate a bill for the same with a breakdown of every detail from what the user has selected to the tax applied, It gives a separate window for Admin as well as the user and each has their set of tools that they can use
How we built it
I built it using primarily Java Swing for the GUI interface, Java AWT for action events, and MySQL as my backend for data storage and retrieval
Challenges we ran into
Integrating so many components was very difficult, especially the user-side window
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating a fully functioning super app for both customers and admins was something that made me really proud
