Inspiration

I personally didn't know where to start but Scott came prepared with the great idea to make a food delivery app. It was a perfect idea especially since it fits that usefulness category.

What it does

Well it records your responses into variables based on what button you clicked. After your finished with your order El Mongó will read out your order and your total price. If you choose to hit the time to delivery button it brings you to a screen showing the estimated time of arrival (although very rough) I felt it needed to be included.

How we built it

We used scratch for the project and a lot simpler code blocks on the sprites.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we faced was the use of the MIT App Inventor. The learning curb for the program was a little to steep if we wanted to finish this project in a day. We ended up resorting to something more familiar. We used Scratch and it got the job done although with a little speed bumps such as seamless text display.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Honestly I'm really proud of the design. It's a little rough and I realize that but it's starting to grow on me. The water marked jpegs along with Mongós face placed somewhere every once and while.

What we learned

Do a little more preparation with the tools we'll be working with.

What's next for El Mongós Food deliver app

Not much I might polish it up for posterities sake but this is a scratch program and I'm not sure it has much room or purpose to grow.
